On the Nest

It’s Spring, and this Robin is on the nest of her choosing atop a rain drain pipe connector under the roof of a human house. Although birds may seem to build nests in fragile-looking locations, they are constant maintainers and guardians of their chosen territories, so few of their houses fall victim to wind and weather conditions.

This Mother-to-be built her nest deep below, nearly completely around the pipe, to support the actual small birthing area above where she will hatch her eggs.

Honey Versus Plastic

P.S. In last night’s storm, most of Honey’s hard-earned plastic blew out of the nest prior to her beginning her final egg-laying repose.
